Industry-Based Curriculum Development through Case Method and Team-Based Project Approaches

Denpasar, Monday, May 11, 2026 – The Bachelor of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (PSSM FEB Unud), organized a discussion and dissemination session titled “Industry-Based Curriculum Development through Case Method and Team-Based Project Approaches.” Held at the BM Building Hall, the event was specifically designed for faculty members and officially opened by the Coordinator of PSSM, Dr. I Nyoman Nurcaya, S.E., M.M. The workshop featured Prof. Dra. Luh Putu Sri Artini, M.A., Ph.D. as the keynote speaker to address strategies for aligning academic theory with the demands of the professional workforce.

In her presentation, Prof. Luh Putu Sri Artini emphasized the critical role of Industry-Based Learning (IBL) in equipping students with practical skills and essential soft skills, such as problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability. To operationalize this, lecturers' instructional modules are required to adopt Case-Based Learning (CBL) to sharpen decision-making analysis through real-world case studies, alongside Team-Based Projects (TBP), which focus on team collaboration to deliver concrete solutions to actual industry challenges.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion session that generated several strategic follow-up actions for the study program. Key agreed-upon initiatives include formulating project outputs in the form of faculty-level integrated business plans, utilizing high-quality student-authored case studies, and strengthening curriculum integration with professional competency certifications. As an immediate concrete step, PSSM FEB Unud will soon develop standardized templates for both Case Method and TBP modules to assist lecturers in designing highly effective learning experiences.
